Dooya - Automate curtains

Conclusion:

With the Dooya solution for curtains you can automatically open or close your curtains in a reasonably cheap way. The engine seems to be well and firmly assembled. There is an automatic stop on the engine if it detects resistance. This is a good thing because there is a lot of power in the engine.

This engine (DT52E) uses the 433Mhz protocol to control it. So keep this in mind because this does not work with every controller. This works well on the Homey. The only drawback is that sometimes you do not receive feedback. So sometimes you cannot see on the controller whether the curtains are open or closed. Another point is that you can only choose up and down as text. This can sometimes be confusing because you do not know whether the curtain will open or close. The words open and closed would have been better.

Good to report is that there is no easy possibility to open the curtains 50%. Not a problem in itself because most people won't need this.

The rail feels solid and the system for moving the curtains solid. Hanging up the right is a bit tricky and you have to take the time to do so, but once it hangs you no longer have to worry about it.

Ordering this product gave my supplier some problems. If you are not interested in this, then you are dependent on a somewhat more expensive system, but you will be buying more certainty in return.

Powerful engine
Solid system

Textually confusing by "Up and Down" (Op de Homey)
Hanging requires some attention
No English/Dutch manual
Does not work via Z-Wave
